Meeting Room AOur auditorium was constructed and is maintained as a convenience to the people of Okanogan County.

The auditorium is available to non-profit organizations and public agencies (users) for public meetings, hearings, training, etc., provided that it is not a hosted sales event.

The full auditorium’s maximum seating capacity is 128.  There are approximately 120 chairs and 20 six-foot tables available for public use.  The tables and chairs are stored in the west closet.  Projection screens and whiteboards are available for use.  It is the user’s responsibility to provide any other equipment, i.e., easels, PA system, dry erase markers, video equipment, extension cords, etc.  Restrooms are available in the hall outside the auditorium.

   AVAILABILITY

  • The auditorium is available to non-profit organizations and public agencies (users) for public meetings, hearings, training, etc., provided that it is not a hosted sales event.
  • The auditorium is available Monday-Thursday 6pm-9pm and Friday-Sunday 8am-9pm.  Requests are honored on a first come, first served basis. 
  • The auditorium is not available on PUD recognized holidays.
  • The full auditorium’s maximum seating capacity is 128.  There are approximately 120 chairs and 20 six-foot tables available for public use.      The tables and chairs are stored in the west closet.  Projection screens and whiteboards are available for use.  It is the user’s responsibility to provide any other equipment, i.e., easels, PA system, dry erase markers, video equipment, extension cords, etc. 
  • Publicly accessible wireless (Wi-Fi) is available (no after-hours support will be available if it is not working).      Wi-Fi authentication will be posted in the auditorium. 
  • Restrooms are available in the hall outside of the auditorium.  They are activated with the issued key card.
  • The District reserves the right for priority use over any other group. The District will attempt to give reasonable notice of its scheduling needs. 
  • The District reserves the right to deny any request for use.
  • The auditorium can only be scheduled for a maximum duration of six months per application and deposit.

   ACCESS, PARKING, AND SECURITY

  • Users shall access the building via the front entrance.  A key card and hex key will be issued at the time of scheduled use for access to the building.  The user may pick up the key card and hex key no sooner than the workday prior to the day of use, or on a Thursday for weekend use.
  • The side doors of the auditorium are to be used for emergency exits only Do not prop or otherwise keep any exterior doors open. 
  • When exiting the building, the user is responsible for ensuring all exterior doors are closed and locked. Users are required to return the key card and hex key immediately after use by placing it in the night drop box located outside the front entrance doors.

   RULES FOR USE

  • A check in the amount of $50 will be required as a damage/cleaning deposit when reserving the facility.  A government issued PO may be accepted.
  • This building is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted at any time within the building nor within 25 feet of any building entrance. 
  • Illegal drugs and gambling are not allowed in District facilities. 
  • The District’s kitchen facilities are not available; however, light refreshments may be served in the auditorium. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the facility.  All plug-in heating units, electrical appliances, crock pots, etc. and anything with open flames are prohibited in the facility.
  • It is the user’s responsibility to set up the tables and chairs and to return tables and chairs to the standard configuration (chart posted in auditorium) after each use.  Users must take care not to damage equipment, walls, carpet, and floors during use.
  • Nothing will be taped, pinned, or otherwise fastened to the walls or acoustical panels. 
  • In case of an after-hours emergency, please refer to our “Emergency Contact List” detailed on Application/Agreement form. 
  • User is responsible for making sure attendance stays at or below the maximum capacity allowed.
  • User must be on site for the entire event.
  • Inability to follow all policy rules may result in the user not being allowed to use Okanogan PUD facilities in the future.
  • Under no circumstances shall any organization or person make use of Okanogan PUD property, signs, or logos which would imply Okanogan PUD’s support or opposition to a political candidate or issue.

   FOLLOWING USE

  • The user will clean the auditorium after use, which includes placing trash in the trash cans, wiping down tables and chairs, and picking up debris left in the auditorium.  Users will also return tables and chairs to the standard configuration (chart posted in auditorium).  The District does not provide cleaning supplies.
  • The user will make sure all doors are closed and locked upon exit. 
  • The District will inspect the premises after each use, only releasing the damage deposit:
    • after inspection shows the facilities have been left in satisfactory condition, and
    • after the user has returned the key card and hex key provided at the time of rental. 
  • The District will charge for damages and/or cleaning costs to the user if the auditorium is left in a damaged or unclean condition.

   HOW TO RESERVE

Request for use of the auditorium may be made in person at the  Okanogan Headquarters or by telephone by calling 509-422-3310. If the request is made by telephone, the Application and Agreement for Public Use of District Facilities will be completed and signed when the deposit is made. The user may pick up the key card and Allen wrench no sooner than the work day prior to the day of use, or on Thursday for weekend use.
