Sheila was born and raised in Omak. She began her communications career in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Multnomah University in Portland, OR, where she also studied graphic design and photography. She spent five years as a reporter at the Omak-Okanogan County Chronicle, followed by a few years with the Okanogan County Public Defender’s office. Most recently, she was the communications officer at the Omak School District until starting her position at the PUD in October 2018.
Outside of work, Sheila is a Girl Scout troop leader, musician in her church and advisor for a high school yearbook. She enjoys being part of her community, and sharing it with her husband, Blair, and their two young children.
