Heat Pump Water Heaters

Requirements

  1. Photo of existing electric storage water heater installed
  2. Visit BPA’s HPWH Qualified Products List (PDF) to make sure your new heat pump water heater qualifies for an incentive
    • Scroll down to Residential Sector/Water heating, and click on “Heat Pump Water Heater Qualified Products List.”
  3. Completed Heat Pump Water Heater Project Information Form (PDF)
  4. Invoice showing purchase date and model purchased
  5. Photo of newly installed heat pump water heater

Incentive Amount

  • Tier 3: 50 gallons and above – $1,600
  • Tier 4: 50 gallons and above – $1,800
  • All Tiers 40 gallon tank– $1,400

Windows

Requirements

Before and after of window replacement

  1. Pre-inspection
  2. Invoice that shows purchase date, cost and dimensions of each window
    • The dimensions must match what is listed on the PUD form.
  3. Sticker for each window showing that the U-value is 0.30 or less, or a spec sheet showing the dimensions and that U-value of each window is 0.30 or less
  4. Post-inspection

Incentive Amount

  • $8 per square foot of glass replaced.
Doors

Requirements

  2. Completed Exterior Door Project Information Form (PDF)
  3. Invoice that shows purchase date, cost, and model number
  4. Documentation showing the model number and that it is a pre-hung Energy Star Door
  5. Post-inspection

Ductless Heat Pump

Note: New requirements below for installs on or after October 1, 2023.

Requirements

Ductless heat pump

  1. Projects must be installed by a licensed contractor.
  2. Product must be rated with a minimum of HSPF2 7.5 to qualify.
  3. Completed Ductless Heat Pump Project Information Form (PDF)
  4. Invoice showing the purchase date.
  5. AHRI Certificate.
  6. Documentation showing that the requirements have been met – manufacturer, model number, type, size of product installed.
  7. Post-inspection.

Incentive Amount

  • $920
Ducted Air-Source Heat Pump or Ducted Variable Speed Air-Source Heat Pump

This incentive applies to retrofits only. Upgrades do not qualify.

Note: New requirements below for installs on or after October 1, 2023.

Requirements

  1. Projects must be installed by a licensed contractor
  2. Product must be rated with a minimum of HSPF2 7.5 and SEER2 14.3
  3. Completed ASHP Project Information Form (PDF)
  4. Invoice showing the purchase date
  5. AHRI Certificate
  6. Documents showing that the requirements have been met – manufacturer, model number, type, size of product installed
  7. Post-inspection

Incentive Amounts

  • Ducted Air-Source Heat Pump: $1,250
  • Ducted Variable Speed Air-Source Heat Pump: $1,560
  • Upgrade from a Ducted Air-Source Heat Pump to a Ducted Variable Speed Air-Source Heat Pump: $600
