Tree Trimming and Right of Way Clearance
2012 Areas
The Okanogan County PUD will continue its Tree Trimming program in 2012, beginning the 3rd cycle of tree trimming and power line right of way clearance on our electrical distribution system. Beginning early 2012, crews will be trimming in PUD service areas including Malott, Old 97, Okanogan, Elmway, Omak and Pogue Flat areas. They will also be finishing up trimming and right of way clearance in the Aeneas Valley/Chewiliken Valley and Highway 20 East areas. Later in 2012 crews will begin trimming in the Havillah area and Molson/Chesaw/Pontiac Ridge. Notices for tree trimming have been sent or will be arriving soon with your billing statements. Removing vegetation and trimming trees near overhead primary conductors is required by law and is necessary to provide our ratepayers the highest level of safety and reliability of electric service.
The PUD would like to thank its customers for their continued support and cooperation in helping us maintain our right of ways and help keep the PUD's electrical system as safe and reliable as possible. We look forward to a safe and productive year for tree trimming and right of way clearance in 2012.
