Public Comment Guidelines

The Okanogan Public Utility District Board of Commissioners welcomes public comment.  We have provided, and will continue to provide, opportunities for public comment at each open meeting.

The PUD has completed an environmental impact assessment process on the Methow Transmission Line Project.  The Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) was released March 7, 2006.  We would like to thank the public for the many detailed comments we received and the participation in this process. 

During the March 28, 2006 Board Meeting the PUD Board of Commissioners approved a motion selecting Alternative #2 as an action alternative for the Methow Transmission Project and directing the Manager and staff to begin the process of engineering, design, right of way acquisition, permitting and all other necessary steps to construct and complete this project.
