Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs

The PUD is proud to offer compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL's) to our customers.  Compact fluorescent bulbs have many benefits over "old-fashioned" incandescent bulbs.  They may cost more initially, but replacing 25% of your lights in high-use areas with fluorescents can save about 50% off your lighting energy bill.  CFL bulbs last 6 to 10 times longer than regular bulbs and pay for themselves through energy savings over their lifetime.  Compact fluorescent lamps use less energy, produce more lumens (light) and do not get as hot to the touch, making them safer as well as more cost effective.
